    Hi, I've just finished my first semester at university and am having a bit of trouble deciding on what to major. The program i'm in at the moment is science but i have chosen engineering classes for next semester because it seems like engineering has much better career prospects.     I will be moving into the USA by September and I am interested in doing engineering, but it seems you cant get a job right after college and most people tell me engineers are laid off frequently because of the economy. So I want to get some advice on that.
