Do you work with other women engineers?
Are there many women working as engineers with you? Is it difficult working in a male dominated industry? -Bo

    Thank you for the questions!

I was actually pleasantly surprised when I started my job. Not only at the number of women, but the number of young people in general. Almost half of my department is made up of women! This isn't true of the entire office however.

Good question. Personally, it has not been an issue for me. My best friends through high school were guys. It was like growing up with four older brothers. I learned to work with the guys I went to college with. They always respected me and had my back. While I haven't been working for very long, I haven't experienced any discrimination as a women engineer. All the women in the office are treated with respect and as equals.

It's important to remember that men and women are both equally capable. We think very differently, but I believe with this difference comes power.
