Sangeeta graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. She currently works as a Systems Engineer for Cisco Systems, where she designs networks and demonstrates Cisco products to customers. Outside of work Sangeeta enjoys yoga, traveling, and playing guitar.

Hi Beth!

Great question! Systems Engineering can encompass many disciplines ( Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) . The under graduate degree that you choose to pursue will depend on which field of Systems Engineering you find interesting. Systems Engineers have come from backgrounds in all of the degrees that I mentioned above. Good luck to you!

Great question! I found that being involved in Math and Science related activities helped me get a better understanding of engineering. If your school has a Math or Science club, that will benefit you immensely. Good luck!
